Book an appointment with your nurse:

Long-term Condition review:

Annual Reviews:  At Priory Medical Group, you will be invited by letter in your birthday month for your annual review of your long-term condition and medications. You will be advised on what tests and appointments you require including: blood tests and telephone follow up, or a face-to-face review and assessment with the specialist nurse.

Blood Tests: routine morning appointments are available at all our sites. ASDA at Monks Cross and York Hospital offer a drop-in service during the working week, for those unable to attend a routine appointment.

Ear Syringing: available at all of our surgeries. Most cases of ear-wax will clear with use of either olive oil (every night) or over-the-counter ear drops. However, if you have tried using olive oIl for 4 weeks, or are having problems with dizziness or are a hearing-aid wearer then a sooner appointment will be offered.

Vaccinations: Our Practice Nurses offer all routine adult vaccinations. Immunisation appointments are available across all sites in the practice. Appointments can be made in the evening if necessary.

All Practice Nurses are specifically trained to give advice and information about all vaccines, including schedules and possible side effects.  If you wish to discuss any aspects of immunisation please contact the Practice Nurse at your surgery of choice.

Childhood Immunistation Programme:
  • All children eligible for immunisations will be sent invitations with details of the national programme and advised when to book in for immunisations.
  • The new Meningitis B vaccination commonly causes children to have a fever and parents are advised to offer paracetamol to help reduce this. For more information, see http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/vaccinations/pages/meningitis-b-vaccine.aspx
Flu Vaccination Programme:
  • During the month of October, we run open access Saturday morning flu clinics at all of our sites for all eligible patients. You will receive an invite in advance.
  • If you are a carer or wonder if you are eligible for an NHS flu vaccination, please contact us for advice.
  • Pregnant women are all advised to have flu vaccinations; your Midwife will advise you on the matter.
