We have received a lot of requests for weight loss injections in the last few months, these drugs cannot be prescribed by clinicians working in general practice. There are other ways to seek support for weight loss - via City of York Council, the NHS programme (see below) or we can refer to Healthwise or Tier 3 weight management services where appropriate. The NHS Digital Weight Management Programme supports adults living with obesity who also have a diagnosis of diabetes, hypertension or both, to manage their weight and improve their health. It is a 12-week online behavioural and lifestyle programme that people can access via a smartphone or computer with internet access https://www.england.nhs.uk/digital-weight-management/
GP Earnings
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Priory Medical Group in the last financial year [2018/19] was £32,490 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 12 full time GPs and 32 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.
